Kelly grew up in a quiet beach town on a horse ranch in Florida. Yes. Those exist. Florida is awesome. She split her time between training horses, doing theater and going to the beach. (Side bar - Kelly filmed "From Justin to Kelly" in Miami Beach in a bikini in 32 degrees! Can you believe Miami gets that cold?!)
She then went on to The Florida State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in Communications. Next up, Kelly joined the Americorps program, Teach For America, to teach 8th grade English in Hawaii, while getting her master's degree. Not a bad gig, eh? The experience reinforced her belief in educational equity.
After that, Kelly went into news, scoring a gig as a traffic reporter at the local television station, Hawaii News Now. If you're ever bored, you can watch her work those traffic cams here. Get it, girl.
While working in news, she started her professional acting career on the movie, "The Roundup," for which she later won an award! The next month, she landed a guest spot on "Hawaii 5-0." This was a dream come true, so she decided to make the leap to Los Angeles where she's been acting and hosting ever since. She's been on "Magnum PI," "Just Mercy," "House of Cards," "VEEP," Lisa Kudrow's "The Comeback," "General Hospital," and lots more.
Off camera, Kelly is a total daredevil. She’s been skydiving, bungee jumping, and cliff jumping. She's also a horseback rider and surfer. She has a thirst for adventure, travel and the outdoors.
